Behind The Scenes
Here are some behind the scenes - the beginnings of creating the new shapes, as well as from when we were creating some of the characters.
The costumes are all made by me out of one thing or another, often plastic sheeting or paper. I’ve also incorporated a custom leather shoulderpiece by extraordinary leatheress Rachel Freire.
We have a lot of fun embodying the characters - it’s all meant to be very funny, although i can be known to take the execution quite seriously.
here is a view of the studio, today January 19th. There is a wonderful moment in the afternoon when the light from the window hits some gold tassels on the mezzanine and projects beautiful ripples across where the canvases will hang while i work on the collection.
